"I Walk Because"...what a POWERFUL tagline for a great cause,  a cause that happens to be very near and dear to my heart as my sister was diagnosed with MS not too long ago.

This morning I had the privilege of joining my best friend/Sister along with my daughter for the 2011 MS Walk in Coral Gables, FL It was a great time with tons of laughs and good people. It really made me disconnect from my digitally wired brain (well short of the iPhone pics) and just take it all in. We customized t-shirts with Sharpies and filled in the blank "I Walk Because" - and even shot a video! (which I've never done)

I'll close with how I started this post, "I Walk Because..." life is not 'fair', fair is a place where we eat funnel cakes and ride ferris wheels. My sister has channeled this minor setback into embracing the mindset that this disease is simply a daily reminder that life is precious, so enjoy every minute. She exemplifies that as her joy and light spread and shine wherever she goes! This post is for you T! I love you!

Coincidence? I think not...

Luke 21:5-34

Jesus Foretells the Future

5 Some of his disciples began talking about the majestic stonework of the Temple and the memorial decorations on the walls. But Jesus said, 6 “The time is coming when all these things will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”

7 “Teacher,” they asked, “when will all this happen? What sign will show us that these things are about to take place?”

8 He replied, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’[b] and saying, ‘The time has come!’ But don’t believe them. 9 And when you hear of wars and insurrections, don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place first, but the end won’t follow immediately.” 10 Then he added, “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven.

12 “But before all this occurs, there will be a time of great persecution. You will be dragged into synagogues and prisons, and you will stand trial before kings and governors because you are my followers. 13 But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me.[c] 14 So don’t worry in advance about how to answer the charges against you, 15 for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you! 16 Even those closest to you—your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends—will betray you. They will even kill some of you. 17 And everyone will hate you because you are my followers.[d] 18 But not a hair of your head will perish! 19 By standing firm, you will win your souls.

20 “And when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you will know that the time of its destruction has arrived. 21 Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. Those in Jerusalem must get out, and those out in the country should not return to the city. 22 For those will be days of God’s vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled. 23 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. For there will be disaster in the land and great anger against this people. 24 They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end.

25 “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. 26 People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then everyone will see the Son of Man[e] coming on a cloud with power and great glory.[f] 28 So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!”

29 Then he gave them this illustration: “Notice the fig tree, or any other tree. 30 When the leaves come out, you know without being told that summer is near. 31 In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that the Kingdom of God is near. 32 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things have taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

34 “Watch out! Don’t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don’t let hat day catch you unaware, 35 like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. 36 Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.”

Greetings Friends!

I hope this note reaches you well and in good spirits. All is well in Miami. SocialBuzzTV.com was launched in 2010 and will be taking over in 2011, thanks to all of you and all of your support! No need to bore everyone with a long drawn out blog post to simply boast about everything happening in my world, instead I thought I would share one of my favorite verses with you and short story that always makes me smile.

In addition to the verse below being the "Verse of the Day" that popped up on my screen this morning, I also read this while sitting on the beach the morning of New Years day 2007 in Corona Del Mar, CA (one of my favorite places on the planet, see pics below) as it was the "Verse of the Day" that morning as well. I was praying and reading my goals for the new year, I asked God to reveal himself in a profound way to really help me feel that He was near and to also show me that better days were ahead, the second I looked up from my Bible I saw dolphins playing around in the water, all I could do was smile, look up, and just say "Thanks" <><

“This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” - Isaiah 43:16, 18-19

May the best of your todays, be the worst of your tomorrows!

May the Lord bless you and keep you in 2011! He has grand plans for your life!

In His Grip,

Sebastian

where in the world did 2009 go? am I the only one that feels like it FLEW by? I guess thats how time is the older that we get.

I've got to be honest, I haven't updated my blog in almost a year, why? well the answer is quite simple, Facebook, Twitter, email, etc, etc, the multiple mediums of Social Media have completely taken over as our basic means of communication, its just easier, right?

2009 was exciting, I spent the summer in Las Vegas contracted with an Internet company, I shacked up with my best buddy Dave and his family, it was a great time and I learned a ton! About a month after getting back from Las Vegas the contract dissolved and I was back to working full-time with my Consulting business.

Thankfully 2010 has been incredible thus far! I FINALLY got some wheels and am back on the road after a long 2 years!

(Folks meet LUCY...)

Its amazing how thankful you really are for 4 wheels, when you don't have any! God has blessed me in more ways than I can fathom and I'm thankful every minute of everyday for everything!

In addition to my Consulting business my buddy Dave and I have launched a brand new Google Advertising Solution for Local businesses that we're extremely excited about, we believe strongly that "THIS IS IT!"

Another strong goal for 2010 is to write a book, I've already begun the initial process, its just finding more time spend on it. Its going to be a cookbook for Single Dads. I've tentatively chosen the title of:

Seb Sautes! -- A Single Dads Guide to Survival in the Kitchen!

I'm really excited about it, however, at the current pace of things, I'm thinking this will be due out LATE 2011. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted!

Kayla is doing incredible, 3rd grade is EXTREMELY challenging to say the least, but I'm thankful that the workload she has really keeps her on her toes!

I'm headed to CA next week for a few days and to celebrate my birthday (the big 3-1!), it'll be so great to reconnect with all of my So Cal peeps!

I hope all of you are doing fantastic! That's all for now!

In His Grip,

Seb

Why does it seem like time passes so much faster the older we get? My goodness, I haven't even given a second thought into stopping to update all of you on the "Adventures of Seabass n' Kayla"

All is well and moving along in Miami. As we speak Kayla Marie is celebrating her 8th Birthday! We traveled to Oma's yesterday for a late lunch, cake and of course presents. Today, ironically she has a field trip at school, BONUS!!

Business is becoming more consistant, thankfully. I am still volunteering about 3 days a week at church serving as the Media Director for the Worship Ministry and I must say I am THOROUGHLY enjoying the experience, the team, and the blessing of the relationships that are being formed, God is Good, all time!

Summer is right around the corner so that means 2 things, non-stop Summer Camps for Kayla and some down time for Daddy, woo-hoo!! My Sister/BFF just relocated to Homestead, FL (about 30 minutes from me) in Feb, it was a total God thing once again. Who would thought my big Sis would get a job offer from CA to FL shortly after Kayla and I arriving back. WOW still kind of surreal, but so thankful she's close. Shout out to Tante, she really should run for President!!

Well thats all for now folks, its Monday, a brand new week, full of brand new opportunities!!

It is my hope and prayer that all of you are doing well. Don't forget to look me up if you make it to Miami!!!

Blessings!!

In His Grip,

Seabass <><

Greetings All!

I hope as you're reading this, you too are ready embrace yet another fresh start with a BRAND NEW year! PEACE-OUT 2008!

Wow! What a surprising turn around these past two weeks have been. A few days before Christmas I felt like Scoorge himself, as I wasn't looking forward to an extended break with NO plans and business slower than molasses in the winter. Then was quickly reminded how tight my sister and I truly are, as we proceeded to move into our Mom's house for a WEEK STRAIGHT!

Most would say how in the world can you tolerate the "Rents" for an entire week, but through many laughs and trips down memory lane, we gladly made it through and we're bummed that it had to come to an end. (At least Toma and I were) :p

Following that week my Dad and Step-Mom we're in Orlando visting my Aunt Betty and we're eager to see Kayla so I decided to take them up on an offer to tag along and hopped on Amtrak with the kid and headed North. It was great to see everyone and spend some QT with my Pops, enjoy my wonderful Aunt B's hospitality and as most of you saw, Kayla and I had an absolute BLAST tackling 3 Disney Parks in one day. Yes we blissfully endured 13 hours of long, long lines, but worked through the wait time with great conversation and of course lots of laughs. Kayla refers to it as the best day of her life! (insert tear here) =)

At the moment we're back on the train headed South, with one more stop BACK at Moms house for one more free meal and some good NFL Football this afternoon. GO PHINS!!!

So funny how life works out, especially when we think one way, and things work out for the better the other way.

I'm not real big into New Years resolutions, but I may mix it up a bit this year and attempt to tackle a few, first of that being, taking things for face value and trying not to get ahead of today, and know that's all we really have, even if its not guaranteed.

This year I challenge all of you to go after something different, change your thought process and most importantly, don't settle!

I'll leave you with a great quote I heard a few weeks ago that spoke volumes to me...

"Everything you want in life is right outside your comfort zone."

May God bless all of you this year and bring you everything that makes you happy! =)

In His Grip,

SeaBasS!

Greetings All-

I hope this reaches you in good spirits and great health. Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I the only one anxiously bidding farewell to 2008?! WOW! What a year, to say the least.

As most of you know, my journey continued this year as I relocated back to Miami in May.

How did that happen? Well its quite simple, I came to Miami in April to see my best friend get married, little did I know that the weekend to follow would change 2008 all together.

After the wedding I spent the weekend with my long time friend Derrick and we discussed life, business, and all that goes with it, at the end of the weekend I knew it was time for change, so I proceeded back to Newport Beach and checked out of California, at least emotionally.

The plan was to go back to CA for a couple more months, plan the move, and arrive in July, yaaa, not so much, that plan was expedited by me selling everything I own on Craigslist, coordinating a move in, oh in about 3 weeks, grabbing 2 one way tickets to Miami and calling the rest history, yes I am nuts to just clarify! :P

Since arriving in Miami I continue to get the question, "So why the move back?" and in all honesty my CA time had run its course, Kayla missed her Mother, and I for all intents and purposes was completely convinced that change was inevitable and going back "Home" just made sense. There's nothing like it.

Business continues to be struggle in the midst of this "lovely" economy as we're all aware, but the eternal optimist in me continues to remind me that it will all turn around in due time, as it always does!

I can't put a price tag on having some assistance with Kayla now, even though I've mastered the Daddy Program, SANITY is vital! Can I get an AMEN?!

Kayla's Mom and I have great parenting relationship and regardless of her challenges of being a Mother in the past, she's here today and part of Kayla's life and that's really all I can ask for.

I am really looking forward to seeing what God has in store for 2009. This year has been a great opportunity to grow, reconnect with old friends, spend time with family and just count my blessings.

Well that's all for now folks! If you make it to Miami or you're already here, look me up, I'd love to catch up!

Kayla and I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and prosperous and healthy New Year!!

God Bless All of you!

In His Grip,

Sebastian & Kayla <><
